Today Big Fish Local is featuring Collett Services as part of the Shop Local Campaign. Collett Services is a locally owned third generation family business specializing in the sale of residential and commercial propane and asphalt maintenance services. Collett Propane (now operating as Collett Services) was founded in 1952 in the small town of New Burlington, Ohio by World War 2 veteran Don Collett. In 1982, Don’s daughter Jane joined the business and was an owner/operator until her retirement in 2020. Since then and nearly 70 years later Jane’s four kids, Tyler, Logan, Matt & Mike are taking Collett’s operations into the future.
Today Collett Services operates three propane locations in Xenia, Wilmington, and Lebanon and services over 9,000 residential and commercial customers in Southwestern Ohio. Collett Services also operates an asphalt maintenance division in Xenia that specializes in asphalt sealcoating, patching, striping, power washing, and other related services. The Collett family has always prided themselves on quality and friendly service and has continuously strived to be a business leader in the community.
